Union Hall Mural

The mural in the Local 50 Plumbers & Steamfitters Union Hall in Northwest Ohio spans the past, present and future.

The past union activities on the left are in sepia tones, representing the dawn.

An old time pipefitter is in the foreground, while the first big union protest is behind him.

Early Local 50 members at work, representing the different trades included in the union.

Early pipefitters carry a pipe to a jobsite on a city tram.

Present day Local 50 members in a protest that took place in downtown Toledo, crossing the old Cherry Street bridge.

The middle of the mural shows the city of Toledo in the background and the various trades at work.

The new Local 50 union hall and trade school with factories all around.

Welders, plumbers, pipefitters, heating and cooling contractors all make up the future on the right.
